Kirsten McKenzie

Kirsten McKenzie is 38 and lives in the East Neuk of Fife. In 2006 she completed an M Litt in creative writing at St Andrews University and previously worked as a Scottish Government press officer. She has written two novels, The Chapel at the Edge of the World, published in 2009, which was shortlisted for the Saltire First Book award, and The Captain’s Wife, published in 2010.  She has published short stories and poetry in Gutter magazine, New Writing Scotland, Causeway, The Eildon Tree and Product magazines.  She is currently working on a novel and a collection of short stories.
