Creative Writing Courses at Dundee University

From Tues 18 October I will be running two new creative writing courses, Introduction to Short Fiction, looking at the short story, and Introduction to Novel writing, looking at planning and structuring a novel.  The courses will consist of a combination of exercises and peer review.  For more info or to book check out the Dundee University Continuing Education brochure.  For information only contact me via this website.

I would love to hear your thoughts about this post

    Dear Kirsten
I am looking for a creative writing course in Dundee to take part in this Autumn. Can you tell me how long your course runs for and how much it costs?
    Many thanks

Sorry Penelope, I’m not teaching creative writing this year, as I’m taking a teacher training course myself. Try the university’s Continuing Education Department, there was another course that ran, and otherwise try the Creative Writing Department at Dundee uni. Good luck.

Hi – I am looking for a short writing course that takes place during the day-time and begins in January. So far I have written articles for magazines but would like to develop my writing skills further and see where this takes me. Do you know of any courses fitting my criteria?

Hi Anthea, I am not teaching at Dundee University this year but will be restarting in Sept 2013. I may be running a short course in the East Neuk of Fife in the spring/summer months if that is of interest. Details will be posted here and on twitter nearer the time.
      Best Wishes

What evening course would you recommend for someone looking to start writing movie, book and general media reviews?

I write articles and reviews but they aren’t very good in terms of my writing. Writing is one of my weaknesses and I would like to improve (if possible) so have started thinking about attending an evening classes or even some sort of online class if there are any.
